Our Mission:

Working together to create IMPACT within underserved communities across Belize through EDUCATION, IN-KIND GOODS, and HEALTHCARE.

Together, WE can make a difference.

Who We Serve

Don’t Stop Belizein - Stronger Together Belize volunteers distribute much needed medical supplies, food donations, clothing, education tuition and more directly to under resourced Belizeans.

  • Belize’s population in 2020: 421,464.

  • The unemployment rate in the Belize Districts (the majority of our work happens here) is 15.1 percent. Nearly half (49 percent) were females. (Sept/2020)

  • The ‘Tourism’ industry, one of the largest contributors to the economy, suffered about 60 percent of job losses since September 2019. Faced with recent job losses, males sought jobs in Elementary occupations, while some females exited the labour force.

  • Almost 42 percent of all employed persons fell in informal employment, earning on average $755 per month ($377 US), which was the same as underemployed persons. Most of these persons were found working in ‘Elementary occupations’.

Impact

In 2020, Don’t Stop Belizein - Stronger Together Belize delivered 5 computers to students via our Education Program. In 2021, we are on a mission to sponsor one hundred students with tuition fees between $600-$1,200 BZE ($300-$600 US) and send fifty computers at the estimated cost of $275-$500/per computer. Our goal is to raise $150,000 in support of this program. Our In-Kind Goods program has been the backbone and an important source of support for our mission. Last year our volunteers in Belize participated in six resource distribution events serving between 50-100 people at each event. This year we’re hoping to hold eight distribution events bringing even more In-Kind Goods and funds to another 100-200 people in need.

What We Do

Volunteers and donations are the essential elements in our efforts to provide financial and in-kind relief to the many women, men, and children that need the support of their community at this time. Don’t Stop Belizein - Stronger Together Belize is heavily invested in Belize. Building and maintaining a sense of community among the many people that are impacted by unemployment and food insecurity remains a priority. Although the challenges of these times are unprecedented, we are confident in the capacity of the Belizean people to emerge from this time stronger than before.
